Geometric concrete with raised spa
The brief
A modern Birkdale home wanted a clean rectangular pool that read as architecture, not as backyard amenity. Outdoor kitchen and dining had to integrate seamlessly.
The build
A pure 16×36 rectangle in polished quartz - no curves, no fuss. The spa sits raised on the south end with a single sheer-descent spillway running its full eight-foot face.
An L-shaped outdoor kitchen wraps the east side: 36-inch grill, side burner, ice drawer, and beverage center, all under a cedar pergola with operable louvers. Dining for ten sits between kitchen and pool.
Hardscape is bluestone in a stack-bond pattern. Pool coping is a six-inch full-bullnose to match. Hayward Omni runs the pool, spa, and pergola lighting.
