Outdoor living build over existing pool
The brief
A Charlotte family had a pool they loved and a backyard they didn't use enough. They wanted a real outdoor room - not a slab with a grill.
The build
A 1,200 sqft cedar pavilion with operable Struxure louvers - fully open in good weather, fully closed in rain or sun. A masonry wood-burning fireplace anchors the east wall.
Outdoor kitchen runs along the south wall: 42-inch grill, smoker drawer, side burner, ice drawer, and beverage center. TV wall opposite. Dining for twelve in the center.
A perimeter mosquito system on automation. Built-in landscape lighting on every column. The existing pool got a new tile band to match the pavilion stone.
