FAQ

Frequently asked, honestly answered.

The questions Carolina homeowners ask first, before they ever pick up the phone.

How much does a custom pool cost in the Carolinas?
Custom concrete (gunite) pools start around $95,000 and most Lake Norman and Charlotte-area builds land between $120,000 and $250,000 turnkey. Fiberglass pools start around $60,000 with most installs in the $75,000–$140,000 range. Both ranges include the pool, equipment, decking, and start-up - not just the shell.
How long does it take to build a pool?
Concrete pools take 14–22 weeks from contract to swim. Fiberglass installs run 8–12 weeks because the shell is manufactured off-site. Permitting, HOA review, and weather are the usual swing factors - we build that contingency into your written schedule on day one and update you weekly.
Should I build concrete or fiberglass?
Choose concrete for a fully custom shape, vanishing edge, raised spa, or any non-standard feature you want to keep for 20+ years. Choose fiberglass for a faster install and lower long-term maintenance with one of the manufacturer's pre-engineered shapes. The two ranges overlap, so the call is usually about design freedom and timeline rather than price.
Can I finance a Rock Water pool?
Yes. We work with Lyon Financial, HFS Financial, and LightStream - all offer soft-pull pre-qualification that doesn't affect your credit score. Most Carolina pool loans run 10–20 years; monthly payments on a $120,000 build typically land between $900 and $1,400 at current rates.
Where in the Carolinas do you build?
We're headquartered in Mooresville, NC and build across Lake Norman, the greater Charlotte metro, the NC piedmont, the SC upstate, and the Charleston metro - including Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Charlotte, Denver, Sherrills Ford, Statesville, Concord, Salisbury, Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Lake Wylie, Indian Land, Greenville, and Spartanburg.
